About PlayaNosara.com

PlayaNosara.com is an independent guide to Nosara’s beaches, communities, surfing, wellness, nature and trip planning. It separates beach conditions from surrounding community logistics and visitor choices so readers can select a base with clearer expectations.

Editorial policy

How we research

We begin with primary sources where they exist: SINAC and refuge material for protected-area rules, SCIJ legal texts for regulations, MOPT or CONAVI for road works, official airport and airline pages for transport, and ICT destination guides for beach descriptions. We use dated local sources as supporting evidence and record every URL and access date in sources.md. Changing facts receive a new check before publication and a reviewed date on practical pages.

How we source recommendations

We distinguish a published fact from planning advice. We do not claim to have visited, stayed, tested or personally reviewed a place or service unless that work is documented on the page. Source marketing language stays separate from site claims. When a rule is uncertain or a road bulletin is old, we say so and tell readers what to check.

Named stays, tours, classes, transport and shopping products appear only after we confirm current availability and the commercial arrangement.

Placement and payment

Editorial placement is not sold. A confirmed affiliate or partner button is labelled Partner link near the booking action. If a sponsored listing is added later, it will be labelled Sponsored. See Affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

Send corrections to josh@easycostarica.com with the page URL, exact claim, source URL and reason for the correction. We review factual corrections, update the page when warranted and keep the source record current. We aim to keep the guidance clear.

Reviewed dates

Practical pages show “Reviewed October 2026.” This records the month of the source check; it is not a promise that transport schedules, road conditions, weather, beach conditions or refuge instructions remain unchanged.

Contact and related pages

Use the contact page for general questions. Read the privacy, terms and disclosure pages before using the site. Partnership inquiries should identify the business, the exact product or service, the relevant area and the proposed arrangement.
